They did their version of Louie Louie...actually, the legend goes that they recorded it a bit before the Kingsmen made their hit version. Their only #1 hit was "indian reservation"...often called "Cherokee Nation".

Funny aside...I have that vinyl album Jan & Dean, the drag cars in the background...

Oh...and in Shut down...the fuel injected stingray out dragging a Mopar 413? Uh-uh...not if both were stock.
Mopar all the way...by an easy second in the 1/4 mile.
