you have no idea what a nightmare that triumph was. parts falling off, breaking, electrical crap smoking. i'd ride the thing an hour and wrench on it three. my maintenance bill last summer was easily $1000 in parts, i did all my own wrenching, and dozens of hours of my time.
the ducati had a short in fuel pump wiring, cost nothing to fix. this spring i replaced the front tire, belts, and some valve train parts that were broken and had the shop do it. cost me $750. i predict that will be the only money i spend on necessary maintenance this season.
