My dad made glazed Spam one time when I was a kid. I wouldn't eat it. He told me I would have it at every meal until I ate it. I told him I would starve first.
OTOH, we had Franks and Beans every Saturday of my childhood. Scarfed it down.
I don't know what the Philistines ate, but if they served Spam, maybe that's why they are extinct.
