That's the point I was trying to make. There is a big difference between "conscripts" and "professional" soldiers. I was trying to be subtle.

I don't mind talking about the incident. It was never a secret. We were taught about our military history in the Army.

Thats a relief. I thought for a minute you were saying that youve been in the army, so you have special knowledge and your opinion is sacrosanct. There are a couple of people here that pull that **** quite regularly.
Im sure you know there were no conscripts in the Australian Light Horse in 1918 or AUS forces in the Pacific in WW2. The USA operated conscription in WW2.
