The fact that it can do it in a standing mile is mind-blowing.
The fact that it can do with without all-wheel drive, special tires, or the active aero the Bugatti has borders on not believable. It took the Bugatti people years of expensive engineering to wring 250 mph (which it takes OVER a mile to get up to) out of a car, and someone else without the engineering budget manages to beat them simply by putting a ridiculously huge engine in a Ford GT!

It is mind blowing. Apparently the same car went 252 in Texas in a standing mile. THey dialed up the boost for the 266 run. Still, almost 2000hp is nearly double the Veyron. I wonder what tires they use. I can't imagine that they are your average Bridgestone Potenza, even if it is an RE-11.
I'd think with the cars that are capable of over 200mph, 225, or even 250, the tire manuf would have to start making some new tires that won't fall aparts at those speeds.
