My Rover has actually been relatively cheap to maintain, but the weirdest **** happens to it. The top door half on the drivers side just fell off one day, that was 'interesting' I'm still not entirely sure they didn't design this thing to leak oil either.
As for liking the 928 more, get a REAL Rover. RRC's are nice, but they are not Series or Defender trucks. If you ever want to scare the crap out of someone, take a corner hard in one. They'll freak out, but it won't flip. CoG is ridiculously low.
