And a lot of them have papers. They were working legitimate jobs in construction, warehouses and yards. No jobs for any of them nowadays.
Every worker on a corner is not an illegal. I think the illegals know what to do for getting a job and exposing oneself is not the way. I get 2-3 a day delivering porch hangers. Hard to catch these guys. Domestics are hard to find as well; they are buried, not out of the street. Dishwashers and that sort of thing. Private drycleaners and laundries. You get the idea.
The word gets passed around.
Freshly arrived illegals don't wear Levis and a tee shirt. They still have on the clothes they typically wear at home.
