What color do you want it to be?
They sell boxes of 100 packages of unflavored gelatin in the grocery store (well, Kroger anyway). Mix 5 packages of unflavored mix to 1 package of regular sugared gelatin and you'll get something that will be fully set (gummy bear like) at room temp. And, it is edible, which might be an extra bonus.
