I've been an Apple hater since the lat 80's. I was in the Navy back then, not making much money. I saved up and went computer shopping, I think PC's were 286's back then. I stopped at the Apple store and was wowed by Jennifer ( she could have sold my anything) Really liked the Apple II gs (graphics special) was suppose to be a step up from the monochrome mac. cost me around $3000 for this machine, came with 256k mem, 5 1/4 drive monitor, keyboard mouse, Apple os something on a floppy. Over the next year I bought some add ons, 3.5 floppy $300, printer (dot matrix color) $300, added 768k mem about $300, was looking for hard drive very expensive, never got one. All this stuff was all Apple because no one was allowed to make Apple stuff. Then in the late 80's Apple announces they are going Mac only. Not on more piece of software was written for my $4000 machine.
It was a dead end. I have not purchased an Apple product since and never will. Wife and kids have ipods against my advice but, I will never have one.
