Hi there!
Sorry I haven't done our last update until now.

We headed out from Lynnwood (just outside of Seattle) around 10 a.m. to work our way home. We had a very important stop to make before crossing the border. Our dear friend Lois how lived next door to my family through my childhood lives in Mount Vernon. Her family and ours all grew up together. We stooped for a quick visit and it was great to see her! We are going to try to get our families together this summer.
Then homeward bound we went. The border crossing went well not to bad of a wait especially for a Friday. It took about 15 minutes. Unfortunately getting through Vancouver was another story it took us close to 2 hours to get to Auntie Bridget's in Yaletown!
Then we were on our way to Pemberton. The rest of our drive was great not much traffic at all.

You know when you get home from a trip like this it takes a bit to get organized. We still aren't organized, but getting there. This trip was like a 20 day parade! We got very good at packing and unpacking at each stop. I still am not sure just how we managed to fit everything into the newly named "Vanari"; But we did and when we unloaded our never ending treasures. We laughed at all of our stuff. Sandy just shook his head at me.

Of course once everything was piled up in the house; Alexander was determined to start showing Sandy his gifts and mementos. He wanted us to find all that he had so that he could share with his dad his trip. He is insistent that we are going to do this again so that he can bring his Dad this time! I have never seen him so happy and thrilled with his new found friends and all of their beautiful cars! He told his Dad that, "Even though he isn't able to ride in the cars that maybe next time he (Dad) could ,or even drive one!"

As we know this very well could have been Alexander's last great adventures; We will, as always, encourage his hopes of another adventure. Who knows maybe he will have another opportunity! You just never know. There are no words to describe what has happened here for Alexander. I am so very thankful and grateful to have come across these wonderful people.

Our trip started out as a chance to go to see the taping of Lopez Tonight and Alexander's favourite show Ellen, go to Phoenix/Scottsdale Arizona, Grand Canyon, Las Vegas and Santa Cruz. To see family, friends, sights and some exotic cars! Little did we know that Alexander was about to have more lifetime experiences than his wildest dreams.

Now we are back home. Reality has not set in yet. I don't know that it ever will again. We all have grown on this adventure and it just reaffirms that I myself need to get it together and instead of talking about starting a young adult programs for others like Alexander. I have to do it. I understand that the awesome Ferrari people are interested in something so maybe we can make this a real thing for others as well. If any of these guys could have even a fraction of what Alexander has experienced! I know what it would mean to them .

Anyway enough babbling; We are home and if anyone wants to stop in to see us you are more than welcome!
Love to you!
Susie

Lets all hope Alexander gets back down here with his Dad
Steve
