Well I have the engine down to the short block and am finding the extent of the internal carnage. Number 2 conn rod is seriously bent and the wrist pin did considerable damage to the block as well which I am hoping is saveable. The only good news in all this is that the cylinders are 95mm Mahle so I am hoping to pick up one and then get a set of JE 10.5:1 pistons. I am going to need one new cylinder head as well as #2 is trashed as well. The cams look good thankfully no damage there so will get them out to the machine shop to have them ground to 964 profile. Will add some Pauter or similar rods to the mix.
