Chris, go talk to some guys at some different mower repair shops... ask them what the differences are and if you need the extra heavy duty aspects that the pro versions of these different mowers provide.
My guess is that the $9000 version might last 3 times as long, but since they're made to put in 5-7 hours a day, maybe around 200 days a year, you would be ill-advised to buy it because you won't live long enough to get all those extra hours out of it.
