I was very interested in getting the D5000 until I found out the following two things:

1. Body is plastic, not metal.

2. There have been BSOD issues with the camera (Blue Screen of Death). A software glitch will render the camera useless. Last I checked, there was no fix for this. But perhaps someone can verify this here?!?
