Yeah I would say keep it and restore it. I am biased though.
I also have a black 68 911L coupe that should be red. The paint is pretty nice right now to strip and repaint.
I am getting ready to start restoring a 68 911 soft window that is red and should be the bright green, which I think is signal green but would need to check.
