I have never understood the problem with gear selection with a 915. I have driven quiet a few and have not experienced the "sloppy shifting" that others complain of. I even found the 901 in my first car, a 74 914, to be precise and easy.
Am I missing something? I have experiences slop in a VW bug but never found it challenging to find a gear.
