I have a set of very worn RA-1s (down to slicks with 4 grooves and more heat cycles over a period of 3 years of limited events than I remember) and a new set of RA-1s on a second set of wheels. I was thinking of getting BFG R-1s to replace the worn RA-1s and keep my new RA-1s for driving to and from the track and for wet track sessions (I bring the second set with me in the car). For those of you who have used both, and since I can get both for my car, do you think a guy should just run the RA-1s or would I gain something by switching to the BFGs for dry DE trackdays?
