One other thing to help is to change your habits. Smoking is obviously different than chewing but I think you can apply the same principles.

If going to a place or doing an activity makes you want to smoke/chew, don't do it or at least change up the routine.

I can honestly state that once I quit I have not had the desire to smoke again. Even when in a club/bar situation where others were smoking. It was at a dinner party for my former boss who had retired. I avoid bars and other places of that nature whenever I can.
