Hi poorsche930,

The post below from Jeff is right on the money. My wife and I have two kids and the third one should be here in November. Our 2011 Toyota Sienna should be here in about three more weeks and we are looking forward to it!! Yes, it's a minivan, but they are very nice these days. Mostly, it's about your wife though and what she has to deal with on a DAILY basis while we are at work. Like Jeff mentioned, with a push of a button, doors unlock and the thing opens like a starship before she even gets there with kids in tow and grocery bags hanging from every finger.

We currently have a Saab 900 and a Buick Century. The Century is hers, but with car seats/booster chairs, it's still tight. Oh, you want to have anyone else ride along...forget it...it's full! The thing that annoys me the most is trying to put a kid in a car seat in a tight parking space while trying not to ding the car next to me with my door. We really enjoyed the Caravan minivan rentals on vacations. On our last vacation, I contacted the local dealer and we rented the Sienna for a week and just loved it. Shopping recently, we checked out the Odyssey also, but went for the Sienna. They all have their pros and cons.

I would try to keep the 930 if you can. I still have my SC and haven't driven it in almost two years. Bummer, but family takes priority. I may get it out this summer for a few drives.

Good luck!

Somewhere along the line, we got a Subi Outback and no more Audi. Still sporty and a cool wagon. Come the 2nd baby, and the first one's getting bigger and heavier. Try and lift him into the baby seat in the back of the Subi in a tight parking stall without putting dings onto something isn't fun. He was killing our backs. Mini van is your solution. You don't need it, but you want it. do it for your wife. Just think, holding a 18lbs baby with a baby bag full of goodies strapped over her and a bag full of new clothes and shoes walking to the car from the mall isn't fun if you have to reach for a door handle with the third hand she wish she had. We have a Sienna. With a press of a button, we can open the automatic sliding doors and /or the trunk before we get there. Just think, my poor wife has deal with the 2nd baby on top of that. One more important thing, for those who like cars. We have 2 boys age 2 1/2 and 4 1/2. They fight sometimes even in the back of the van with lots of room between them. I can't think what it would be like in a small car like the A4.

Try to keep the 930 if you can. I did. Now I drive it only 5-6 times a year if I am lucky. Welcom to loosing everything you got once the kid(s) come. It is still worth it and I would not trade them for the world. Good luck.

Jeff
