A 951 is fast, but not my cup of tea. There is more to life than 'fast'. A '76 930 is a very cool car, but, to drive, probably not that great with a 4-speed and the boost lag. In stock form, it is going to be a car that sits.
I would say, make your lady happy, cut your losses (or lock in your gains) on the '76, enjoy your family time and sell the 951. Buy a lightly modded '89 930 with a 5-speed and some minor mods (K27) and enjoy driving it and working on it w/ son. A '76 is not so rare that you won't be able to find one if you just look later, when the time is right. And the '89 will give you 95% of what the '76 has, and it will probably be better all-around.
