I'd shy away from any option where you borrow money to acquire a 30 year old car.

Some folks think that the early turbos are poised to be the next big thing...if you believe that then your resto, whether garage queen or driver quality would need to be "correct" and original in order to preserve value. Maintaining originality may not give you the most fun 930 driver.
