I have decided to part out my Boxer Cup Prep in titanium silver metallic (sport suspension, 5.5" rear rim). The bike is more or less flawless, but I ran the case dry & found crankshaft bearing material in the oil. The case is drained, it started & ran, idled just fine, and sounded great when last started, but it's evident the crankshaft bearings are screwed.
The good news--I also have a spare case, crankshaft, bearings & rods from a '99 with 13k on it. I have since purchased another R1100SBX, and have decided just to part everything out.
So, with that said, I have:
(1) 2002 R1100S Boxer Cup Prep, 20k miles, complete w/description above
(1) 1999 R1100S case, crank, crankshaft bearings, rods, cam chains, cylinder studs, 13k miles
All parts are stock & in excellent condition with a few exceptions. (CF front fender torn, rear right passenger peg marred) Stock seat is still available. I do not have system cases or hardware. For those in the cheap seats,
I do not have system cases or hardware. All CF panels have been switched out for titanium silver. Pilot Road 2CT on front with 4k miles; no rear tire available. Exhaust is stock with catalytic converter, and I also have the highly-sought-after carbon canister.
I may keep the plastics, but if I sell them I'd prefer to sell as a set (headlight trim, right & left front, right & left tail, tank panel, all in titanium silver). The fronts have CS(?) tank grip panels installed in great condition. The fairing fastener on the tank is intact & not broken. The only flaw I've found is a 1/16" nick in the nose of the left front fairing, hardly worth mentioning.
Specific photos available on request & if it's a part I can get to easily. I'll be using Beemer Boneyard and some other sources to set my pricing. If there's anything you're interested in, please let me know via PM!
