I did a search on this and I think I got it right but I want to double check because the info was on a few different year cars.
I have an 83SC and just got done a top end. During breakin I fried the alterantor. It was night time when it went and I was driving on lit highway I was trying to setermine if my lights were on or not and I hit the hi beams minutes before the car gave out (I know it wasn't what fried the alt or at least I don;t think it was). Anyway, I replaced the alt the next day and that night I noticed my hi beams were on. I flicked the switch and nothing, no change, no lo beams. Did I read correctly that the "sensor" or tab is in the wiper switch? Or that replacing the turnsignal switch will not fix this and that it's the wiper switch? Either switch is around $150 from our host and there is a used wiper switch for sale right now in the classifieds I'd like to pick up but I want to make sure I got this straight first. Thanks,
