Now that I have a better camera I'll have to post picks of my Fusion build. I cut an extended slide release back to where it hangs over the plunger tube about 1/4 inch, just enough to hit with my thumb. In original form I thought it was too long.
I went with a 10-8 Performance rear sight and Trijicon front sight. Function should be just like Shuie posted.
If you want a more positive lock/detent on the thumb safety you can increase the size of the dimple on the safety. It doesn't take much, and it should just about eliminate an acidental release from all but a heavy impact, after which you should check it when CCW anyhow.
