This is interesting...

Quote:
As of Wednesday, Wall Street valued Apple at $222.12 billion and Microsoft at $219.18 billion.
So 1.35% ahead in value...

Quote:
The revenue of the two companies are comparable, with Microsoft at $58.4 billion and Apple at $42.9 billion.
but 36% behind in revenue.

I'm not faulting Apple. I've got an ipod, and I think it's great. I'd be surprised if there was another mp3 player out there that is as good. Some may be cheaper and some may have a better feature here and there, but all around, I bet the iPod is tops. Also, I think the iPhone (I've got an Android phone that I love) is a top notch product. I would very much like to have an iPad, I actually think I'd get some use out of one (come Aug, happy B-day to meeeee). I'm less impressed with their computers. I'm sure they're great, but I don't think they are great enough. Sadly, I think the biggest thing they have going for them in computers is that Microsoft is old and familiar and doesn't have the best reputation (not entirely warranted, I think) and Apply which I'm sure does have a good product, (probably comparable) is mostly cashing in on it's name and fadiness WRT computer sales. I do think the computer built into the monitor thing was a stroke of genius.

I'd love to have a few Apple products and wish I had some old Apple Stock, but MS is still ruling the world when it comes to PCs.
