I have a sister in law that's in the same boat, except the guy isn't illegal. Same set-up though - attractive smart girl with a great job and a bright future, dating a total bum with no future who is a total leach. He even drives her car everywhere. The family has tried to talk sense into her, but to no avail. Sometimes you have to let people learn the hard way, difficult as it may be to watch.
