Hello

OK its a bit complicatet.

All 911 came from the factory with Recaro seats.

The normal seats where very similar to the design from the 356 and used the "Schlummerrolle" as headrest.

In 1966 the 911S had standard seat but you also could order a sportseat. This sportseat was the nearly same bucket seat used in racecars. This bucket seats had the new Recaro headrest as there wasn´t any steelframe to mount the slumber rolls.

Those sportseats wheren´t usable for all drivers and so mid 67 the first S sportseats arrived. They had been used with various undertypes up to 1986.

In MY 68 also the normal seat generations got a redesign and since 68 all seats use the same headrest types ( However even the headrests had two different designs one type is shaped D the other 0 ).

In 1974 the seats got the integratet headrest design.
