Kurt is a US Army vet and I understand where he is coming from.

The drill team is the fluff to show off to the locals here at home, but the real hero's are the guys and gals overseas sleeping in a foxhole or maybe a tent thousands of miles away from home protecting us.

He could have worded it a bit differently but know the feeling. I still remember the hours I spent on drill wearing that damm hot uniform walking around the parade grounds in the sun in the Ozarks during summer. Still, was very happy that Viet Nam ended before we were sent over.

Just got an email from a good friend who is in Iraq with the Army. We forget how good we have it over here until we hear things like what they are going through on a daily basis.
