My guess is that you will not have enough good wire left after you cut away the corrosion.

In the past, I have replaced wire on my car by visiting my local wrecking yard. I found a car VW or 944 and just took some wiring that was the same color that I was replacing. The wire I found had factory crimped ends so I only had to cut to size and put new ends on one side after I slid it thru the rubber boot (if that makes any sense).
