A TFR would be common in that event. But, they will also close the landing runway and any taxi ways used to the deplaning area for a period of time prior to landing to perform a sweep. Said area will remain closed until the motorcade has left the airside portion of the airport.
We do not provide any special separation up here for AF1 and my friends in the NCR agree that is the rules down there too. 1000' or 3 miles in a Terminal Area and 1000' or 5 enroute.
We had lots of fun with TFRs during the Olympics....
