One of these things came ashore here in Long Beach twice about 4 years ago. I heard this incredible sound and left my job site to walk a half block to see it off shore moving towards the beach. I stood there mesmerized. I thought it would stop and turn around, but no. Water spray and sand everywhere. Unbelievable in person.
