Top Shot
Did anyone catch the premiere on History of this show? What do you guys think?
My thoughts:
It’s Survivor with guns, except that all of the “challenges” are shooting-related.
The first episode was an hour long. The first 15 minutes were a team challenge, the next ½ hour was manufactured drama, and the last 15 minutes were a shoot-off between the two people who had gotten the most votes for elimination. The show wouldn’t be so bad if they cut out the middle ½ hour. The show would be even better if they cut out the last 15 minutes and had everyone stay in to the end, top-scoring shooter takes all. Sending people home because of group politics doesn’t establish who the best marksmen is.
The whole “voting off” thing is overplayed IMO. The strategy is well-established. Winning the game has nothing to do with winning the challenges.

I didn’t understand why everyone thought Mark was such a good shooter given that he choked during both challenges. I also don’t understand why Kerry was almost voted off when he was clearly the best during the first challenge. Methinks the producers were creating some drama.
