You make an entry into the calendar and email it to the other person. Their calendar is automatically updated. Works great since it is web-based and can be viewed from any computer or smart phone.

You can also give another person access to view your calendar in their calendar. When you make an entry in your calendar it automatically appears on theirs, but your events are in a different color.
Reminder's are helpful, too.
