well it's an 05 so I'm assuming the rest of the truck is ok? That would make the difference for me. For instance I've had 2 F150's in the last year. a 99 and a 97. The 99 that I had if the motor blew up I would replace it and not think twice since it was exactly what I wanted no more no less(5.4L auto 2wd, limited slip, work truck with cruise, 95K). The current truck if the motor blew I'd think real hard about just parting it out or scrapping it. It's REALLY rusty underneath, and has all the wrong options for what I do with it(4wd, 4.6L MANUAL 3.08 gears, no cruise, 140K)
