I would say similar, but not
very similar.
Crosby shot quickly off a pass for the corner and caught the goalie with his legs spread as he moved into position.
On Kane's goal the goalie had all day to get in position, and actually was in position, then seemed to turn sideways as Kane approached.
Neither goal was a classic, but Kane's, by virtue of his bad angle, and the time the goalie had to get ready for the shot, was much much weaker.
Plus, Crosby's goal cemented the reputation of a nations hockey superiority for four more years, while Kane's was just the end to a long Chicago drought.
