In the late 70's I was on the French Canadian navy ship Skeena in Halifax when the Calypso pulled in. After having to crew on board for a drink or two... we got invited for dinner on their ship. It was unbelievably small compare to the way you see it on TV. It's like the Alamo, look big in the movie but every body leaving the Fort comment on the size.
If any body is interested, I got the 20 books collection of his adventure for sale. Of course it's in French
