I got my case back from the machine shop and split it to clean the inside before assemby. While I was cleaning I noticed this cut out in the case with what looks like an inserted sleeve. This is the oil channel from the block thermostat to the oil cooler on the right half of the case. It looks like it was damaged or cut and a sleeve inserted. This is my first rebuild and it doesn't look right. Any idea on if this is okay? Can I just clean up the rough edges and continue building?
