I find it hard to call what I just experienced over the last two days an AX. I am not sure what it was but I guess it was better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. The most important vehicle dynamics for this event were lightning fast direction change, a very tossable chassis at 20mph, and a super close ratio steering rack. A Boxster may be many things but a 1500lb gocart with one turn lock to lock steering it is not. Stability was a liability and outright lateral grip could never be exploited which are the only advantages a Boxster has over a 914 if you discount the value of fuel injection, strong rust free chassis, good shifting transmission, ABS brakes, and dirt cheap prices.
