Of course as an American, I want the USA to good against the world no matter what the sport, but soccer ranks pretty low in my mind compared to American football, baseball, basketball and hockey.

I loved playing soccer as a kid, and love to watch (and play) it now. The low scoring doesn't bother me at all. The almost-goals are almost as exciting as the real goals. I like baseball too, but how can you say baseball is any more exciting than soccer? And football has plenty of down-time, hardly more exciting than passing in the back field in a soccer game.
And lose the vuvuzelas.
