Andrew's car had a tough time at Qualcomm AX for San Diego Parade. With little to no cooling shrouds on the engine they run, it was tough keeping the engine cool for that long course + sitting in the staging lanes running the car "hot".
I do believe JP is correct: adjust your driving to the track if adjusting the car doesn't work. I also believe based on Evan's "live" feedback with me on the phone that day, that the tires were probably done and they didn't know it. Hard to know when a tire is done until you go past their "good" point.
I can already see me grabbing Evan by the ear at this next SCCA event and explaining to him "slow in/fast out". Lots of NorCal people calling me and telling me the same thing: "Evan was over driving corner entry".
Slow down to go faster
Now I'm thinking about dragging a Boxster out for the SCCA event.. LOL I have just enough time to slam a 2.5 into my Speed Yellow tub (tribute to the Sh_tbox)
