It's a different sport. You best understand that.

F-ball doesn't and never will compare to real football. It is only the same in name and nothing more, which is a disservice in its own right to true football.

But even with that, it's ridiculous to think a game about 4 downs with a 30 second break between each, timeouts, 2-minute warnings and commercial breaks to sell fried chicken, burgers, beer and antifreeze is somehow more physical than a 90+minute competition where for each half of 90 minutes (45), there is no true rules-oriented stoppage.

Soccer is a sport of endurance. Football, hardly. It's day camp with designer drugs, pads and helmets. I don't care what anyone says. Hell, tennis is more grueling than American football when true physical agility and endurance are called into play.

"Hittin'" means nothing, IMO. I can hit a door with my hand. So what! But I can't dribble like Messi or fire off a goal like Cacau. That's real skill.
I played 3 years of college soccer - I love the the sport don't get me wrong. It is a fast sport that requires serious skill. I really know nothing of Tackle Football prior to my Son developing a true love for it. As I learned more about it I came to understand that it is a very different sport which on the surface can be slow paced at times yet trust me when I say this - it is absolutely controlled mayhem and very violent. Even with pads on - which IMO makes it even more dangerous. I can play a game of soccer and be winded or I can play a game of tackle football and be winded and very sore (in sometimes bleeding).

I have been slide tacked in soccer many times and been kicked in the leg, balls, butt, gut, face and back - yes it hurts. It is nothing like being 'double-stuffed' as my son calls it - thats when one hits you high and the other low in opposite directions. Even when 110lb and 130lb 11 yr olds do that to you it really hurts - I can't image a beefy 230+lb linebacker coming at me.

Trude David - different sports, I love them both for different reasons. perhaps we shall to agree to disagree?
