I read some of the rules and interpretations. I guess I need to more fully understand what happened there. If if's the USA player being hugged by the defender and has anything to do with being in the penalty box, he was. If the hugger was onside but in the penalty box, he was.

But, I guessing that since people are saying this was a bad call, I'm not understanding. Help me understand what happened as the goal scorer was getting the ball.
