Mine died about 25 y/o. I miss him, my MIL lives with us and would be about the same age now. 81. He was the smartest man I ever knew, full tenured professor of Nuclear Engineering at 30. Wrote the definitive book "Plasma and Controlled Fusion" I think you can still find it on line. But he was a terrible father in my childhood years. Grew into an OK guy when I threatened to kill him with a 2x4 to the back of the head if he beat my younger brother and me again. I think that got him to thinking, I was 12.
My kids think I'm the greatest Dad in the world, and I should be.
