One time I got bitten/attacked by a million fire ants. I found that by spraying the hottest water I could handle would relieve the itch for a while. The heat brings the histamine to the surface and the water rinses it away. Doing the hot water thing and taking Benedryl every 4 hours helped me get through it without going insane from the itching.
If it gets too bad, see a doctor. They'll give you and oral steroid to clear it up quick.
