Poison Ivy doesn't spread after you've showered. What may happen is that you may get it one skin on different areas of your body, the skin is different, and it takes longer to manifest the symptoms in different areas. Poison Ivy has an oil that causes the cell walls to break down. Once you've washed the oil off of your skin and hands, it won't spread until you come into contact with it again.
Just a thought, maybe seem a doctor or dermatologist.
