In my opinion. NO. I have used one on an 06 M5 and currently have in on my 08 550i. It's like handing your laptop to one of your parents that don't use computers and asking them to navigate it. Some pick it up quickly, others struggle. Most newer cars use some kind of central based controls to access many of the cars functions. My MDX is similar to the BMW's.
