I have to disagree. While I have no tattoos, being an artist, I do have an artistic appreciation for them. I have a very good friend that I graduated with at Paier College of Art that is a bigtime tattoo artist. He is very talanted with both painting and tattoos. You really can tell a good one from a bad one. See how a good one can have very fine lines:
