Guys, the one thing that no one has mentioned is that the companies out there making the new 406 units first off do not have a really reliable unit right now. and simply cannot supply all the 406 units if we all had to switch by August. I know of several people who bought the new 406 models only to have sent them back time and time again for repairs after they were defective.

This is a not workable deadline in any way. Time to contact the AOPA and our reps...
