I had a 4 post lift in my garage in Burlingame, CA (by SFO). I did a number of safety precautions,
bolted to the foundation at the 4 corners, 2 diagonal braces from the top of the 2 posts on the long side to the concrete stem wall, I also made plates that bolted to the inside of the rails at the tire locations so the car couldn't slide off to the side in case of a good shake.
