I've been in France the last week, working hard at an engineering firm on fly-by-wire digital aerospace controls for high end small business jets.........
soooooooo over the weekend, went for a drive into/near the French Alps, and went caving. This was a very tame "touristy cave show-n-tell", next time I come back I'm going to go full-on rapelling and swimming through water crossings miles back instead of just a 1/2 mile paved walkway with handrail tour.......I've done hard core caving in Belize and New Zealand, so this was a exporatory trip, my first time in france and their sheer tall cliffs.
Enjoy the drive into the country-side, and then the cave in Choranche near Grenoble.
I'll take care of the obligatory "show us some french babes on bikes" first......high heel boots, mini-skirt, and lace top, yeah I call that riding gear!
Now A caving we will go!
long long skinny skinny rock drippers from the cave roof, like a needle, they're hollow and less than 1/4" in diameter forming a limestone shell, and 6-8 foot long, some longer, some shorter..........very cool. Very hard photography with no flash allowed.......glad I had a mini-tripod with me and super slow shutter speeds. I giggled at people trying to take photos with their cell phones.
hope you enjoy my adventures!
