Just another footnote - Tepusquet road on the steeper (north) side was not repaved, but was sealed with some oil-type stuff and is much better than before. I don't know when this was done, but it's the first time I've been on it since this treatment. The tar snakes are not nearly so tricky as before. Great fun, as was the rest of the weekend of riding.
